Eligibility Criteria for the Post of News Editor/Reporter (Malayalam)

Qualification:

Candidates should possess a Graduate from a recognized University.

Candidates should have  Post Graduate Diploma/ Degree in Journalism with a duration of at least one year from a recognized University/ Institution.

Candidates should have 5-year experience in reporting/editing work in print/electronic media.

Proficiency in the Malayalam language.

Candidates should have basic knowledge of computer applications.

Desirable:

Experience of journalistic work in Radio/TV (for degree/diploma holders in Journalism).

Eligibility Criteria for the Post of Newsreader-cum-translator (Malayalam)

Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a Graduate from a recognized University.
  • Proficiency in the Malayalam language.
  • Having a voice of good quality suited to broadcasting.
  • Candidates should have basic knowledge of computer applications.
  • Candidates should have Malayalam typing skills.

Desirable:

Experience of journalistic work in Radio/TV.

Terms and Conditions

  • The applicant may please note that, working on a casual assignment basis for RNU AIR, Thiruvananthapuram will not confer any right for regularization of services in this organization. The booking will be offered from time to time on the basis of the requirements of the organization and will not normally exceed six days in a month.
  • The candidates are required to deposit the application processing fee (non-refundable) at the following rates, along with the applications, through Bank Draft payable in favor of the Head of Office, All India Radio, Thiruvananthapuram.
    • General category : Rs.354/- (including GST)
    • SC/ST/OBC : Rs.266/- (including GST)
  • The application should reach the Head of Office, All India Radio, Bhakthi Vilasom, Vazhuthacaud P.O, Thiruvananthapuram –695014, by post only, on or before 07.2022.
  • The list of eligible candidates will be put on the website https://www.newsonair.gov.in/ under the Vacancies category and https://prasarbharati.gov.in/pbvacancies/. The exact time, date & venue, etc. for the written examination will be put on the website.
  • The results of the written test in respect of the qualifying candidates as well as the date of the interview will be put on the website. The final results will also be available on the website https://www.newsonair.gov.in/ under the Vacancies category and https://prasarbharati.gov.in/pbvacancies/.
  • The applicant may please note that the written examination, voice test & interview will be held in Thiruvananthapuram. No TA/DA will be admissible to the candidates attending the written test/voice test/interview etc.
  • Candidates can apply for more than one category. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one category should apply separately and pay the fee for each category.
